The Public Utilities Commission of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent Status: Completed 2009 Consultant: CH2M Hill Canada LimitedThe project scope of work consisted of the construction of a cast-in-place underground wet well and building for the pumping station; construction of a reinforced 1 million-liter cast-in-place concrete waste flow equalization tank; supply and installation of high lift process waste transfer pumps in the pumping station; removal of existing and supply and installation of new MCC; supply and installation of isolation valves and slide gates; supply and installation of emergency standby diesel generator system; and site works, including sheet piling at the wet well, excavation, well point dewatering systems, yard piping, storm drains, ramps, grading, seeding and asphalt pavement. All work was performed while maintaining existing plant operation and all civil, mechanical, and electrical work was self-performed.
