The Corporation of The County of Oxford Status: Completed April 2008 Consultant: CH2M Hill Canada LimitedThe project scope of work consisted of the conversion of the West Primary Clarifier, including the supply and installation of new chain and flight mechanism; supply and installation of a new fine bubble diffusion system in the aeration tanks; supply and installation of new secondary clarifier mechanisms; supply and installation of a dedicated primary scum pump; modification of the primary effluent channel to equalize flow distribution, with the construction of a new flow splitting structure; retrofit upgrades in the supply and installation of RAS/WAS pumps, chemical metering pumps, submersible pumps, and centrifugal pumps; supply and installation of a new de-chlorination system; supply and installation of new high capacity aeration blowers; complete new electrical distribution system, including high voltage main primary feed and extensive electrical and controls refurbishment; and site works consisting of excavation, trenching, yard piping, duct banks, shoring, dewatering, and backfilling. All work was performed while maintaining existing plant operation. All civil, mechanical, and electrical work was self-performed.
