The Emo WTP project consists of upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems at the existing water treatment plant. The mechanical portion consists primarily of the replacement of the pump discharge piping, replacement of 3 service pumps, replacement of 1 fire pump, replacement of several valves throughout the plant including new electrically actuated valves in the existing treatment system and some provisional work to replace some of the existing mechanical actuators. The electrical portion of the work consists primarily of the supply and installation of a new MCC, the supply and installation of 4 new VFD’s, a new PLC panel, new instrumentation and the demolition and disposal of all existing gear which is being replaced.
